Perched on the highest ground of the bustling RathausGalerien procuring centre, Lichtblick is a café by day and a restaurant by night time. With panoramic views of Innsbruck’s rooftops and the encircling Alps, this seventh-floor haven is aptly named: a “ray of sunshine” illuminating the town’s eating scene.

The meals
Lichtblick’s delicacies combines Austrian custom with Mediterranean attraction and a touch of Asian intrigue, and had moved to a brand new menu the night time earlier than our go to. In reality, diners can choose from three thoughtfully curated menus the place every course is designed to enrich each other, however chances are you’ll substitute programs from different menus if you want (as you’ll see we did with the dessert from menu 1).
We primarily opted for menus 2 and three, and I’m going to let the photographs doing the speaking right here…

The atmosphere
Aside from coming into a procuring centre to get there, you wouldn’t know you’re on prime of a industrial constructing. The ambiance is vibrant but intimate, and busy but composed. Adjoining to the restaurant, the 360° wine bar and lounge, which is underneath the identical administration, affords an elegant retreat, good for a pre-dinner aperitif or post-meal digestif. Being in such a lofty location, there’s an excellent view available, whether or not it’s day or night time. Our desk ignored the Rathaus Glockenturm (City Corridor Clock Tower).

Every part you’ll want to plan your journey in 2024
The fee
The three menus vary in worth from €48 to €58, with the choice so as to add a cheese course for €14.80.
